- Introduction of Ultrafine milling machine
The ultra-fine milling machine is a high-efficiency grinding machine designed for producing fine and uniform powders. It is composed of three main units: the main grinding unit (host), the auxiliary equipment, and the electrical control cabinet.
Key Performance Features
Air-classifying action – operates without screens or meshes, eliminating the common problems of screen clogging and breakage.
Uniform particle size – produces powders with a narrow particle size distribution.
Continuous operation – the entire production process is uninterrupted, ensuring high throughput.
No temperature rise in the main unit – during grinding, the host machine does not heat up significantly, making it ideal for processing heat-sensitive materials (e.g., pharmaceuticals, spices, resins, and certain chemicals).
Its overall performance has reached advanced international standards, combining reliability, efficiency, and product quality.
Wide Applications
This machine is extensively used in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and food industries for pulverizing a variety of materials, including herbs, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), chemical powders, grains, and spices.
- Working principle of Ultrafine milling machine
The operation follows a systematic process:
Feed – Material is fed from the hopper into the grinding chamber via a screw conveyor.
Initial Grinding – Inside the chamber, high-speed rotating blades shear and impact the material, breaking it down into fine particles.
Airflow Classification – The pulverized powder is carried by air current past a guide ring into the classification chamber. Here, a rotating classifier wheel subjects the particles to two opposing forces:
Centrifugal force (outward)
Aerodynamic drag (inward, caused by negative pressure airflow)
Size Separation – Particles larger than the critical diameter have greater mass and are thrown back into the grinding chamber for further size reduction. Particles smaller than the critical diameter pass through the classifier and are transported by negative-pressure pneumatic conveying out of the discharge pipe.
Collection – The fine powder is then carried into a cyclone separator and subsequently a baghouse dust collector, where the final product is collected and separated from the exhaust air, meeting the required product specifications.
